As we struggle to achieve the MDGs by 2015, we need to make a concurrent leap towards this whole process and this means not leaving out non-communicable diseases. My added concern is that we focus on diseases and ignore the cause of illness. I call upon the NCD Action networks to rise up in recognition of social determinants of health. With this done we shall be on the right move to address the disease burden globally.
