Jason Kroening-Roche is a current student at Harvard School of Public Health working on global health issues and primary care health policy. He recently graduated from University of California San Diego School of Medicine and will be starting his residency in Family Medicine this summer. Jason founded the Rural Health Collaborative (RHC) in 2008, which he now co-directs with his wife, Olivia. RHC partners with local groups in the Akatsi District of Ghana to improve the health of rural communities. Their current project is a village health promoter program in 20 villages of the district. Jason’s second interest is in primary care health policy. He has done state advocacy in California and is currently working on a primary care innovation research project to evaluate the effectiveness of group visits for chronic pain patients in a clinic outside Boston. Other professional interests include medical teaching and the intersection of politics and health policy.

I am not part of the Young Professionals Chronic Disease network, but would like to be.

I am heavily involved in NCD advocacy, teaching, course coordination, research and policy development through my PhD and position with the University of Copenhagen.
